haha i understand your feelings. Buying someone elses finished project is never as fun or fullfilling (or expensive) as doing it yourself

Great car though

Btw Eric just told me he offered the guy $99,001 just to make sure he gets it before you do

Yup, I'm very happy about the leather color. That way I don't have to screw around changing carpet, center console, etc. Didn't really want an all black interior anyhow. They do have some wear to address. I'll need a very good leather guy in SoCal.

Whats up Nick!! If you move out here (where you belong) I'll share the seats with you. i'll take the driver, you take the passenger.

Spartan... Very funny. He's just trying to ward off the competition.

Either way, the seller is great guy (with the highest of motorsport credentials) who lives just down the street from me. You never know who's in your back yard in SoCal. Glad I met him. Probably reading this right now!

The really clean white car with RS seats that sold here recently had them redone to perfection by a Colorado shop. I have his info, im going to dig it up.

OEM RS seats! Those speedlines are spreading like a wild fire on your car.

Haha. It already spread to the suspension and brakes, then to the bodywork, and interior. I'll kill it before it gets to the motor though...I have spray.

Maz - going to be spending a LOT of time in Vegas in the future, so you can count on me driving out to SoCal on a regular basis....

Glad you got those seats. Kind of.

Hey - if you buy the 964R, I'll give you what you paid for the green machine - OK?

Dammit you're ruining my plan of subterfuge! Step 1. Undermine the product to drive away bidders and discourage the seller. Step 2. Swoop in and snag it for $85,000.

I learned from you buddy.

P1CR - I have seen your car at Euro Sunday in Woodland Hills and it is very nice! I have also seen the 964R many times and it certainly is a unique car. I think Porsche enthusiasts can appreciate a lightweight 964 with that kind of HP. I do prefer the looks of your car however.

Even with the amount of work that has gone into the 964, the price is quite high (IMO). As we all know, getting a return on your mods is very difficult and it looks as if the owner of the 964 is trying to take advantage of getting his money back on what he has invested into it. It is definitely a cool car and would be a neat car to own, but at what price????? Just my $.002

The other 1% of people that keeps out is the owner that only has one keyfob and runs out of battery.

Awseome car, I take mine without Drive Block please... (maybe he'll reduce $45k from the asking price)

"Hilarious" isn't the word I'd use when a friend builds the car of my dreams. "Envy", "jealousy" something like that.

Well, as sit most car sales, he posted an asking price. The sale goes from there.

Hey Nick. The green machine has a giant stack of receipts associated. Its embarrassing and sad. Oh. did you mean what I paid before all the craziness? Oh. Eww. That wont work.

Guys
This has been entertaining to read...I can't address all the comments, but rest assured, no I don't smoke crack, yes, I do have two (2) "programed" key fobs and indeed the 964 is the LAST of the all hand built Pcars...that's why the new 993's were actually priced less than a 964 sitting on the same showroom floor.

I don't know who had more fun yesterday...me or Maz....wish we could just hang out, drive our cars and not have to worry about this work stuff....
