I paid $650 2 years ago for PSS-10s/TRG sways installed, plus alignment/corner balance at one of the most respected shops in the Los Angeles area.

6-8 hours shop time for the suspension installation
$100 - $120 for an alignment, more if you go for a corner balance...$300 ish

The rear sway is a piece of cake, probably 0.5 hours shop time.

No front sway?

Make sure your wrench and alignment shops know how to work on a 993. I have found that this excludes most P-dealers. They have folks who work on the new cars, not so much on our vintage ride.

I am probably going to take it to Rothsport, Som I know he knows how to wrench on them.

Rothsport is very good. They did a lot of work on the car that bought last year.

My local shop wants 495 just to set the corner balance and align it.

$650 is a STEAL! Most shops around here are $800 + for the install then $2-300 for a alignment.

I even think $800 for the install is dirt cheap.

Dealer VS. Buds suspension depot.

Rothsport did mine. they know their stuff, be sure to discuss just where you want the ride height to be. they recommended no change of sways unless I was planning to track the car

And don't forget to factor for unintended consequences. My car went for an alignment + c/b using the existing suspension, plus installation of a set of Walrod bushings. The shop found my rear toe-links were shot and after all was said and done the bill was $2K (~$1200 for labor.)

Ouch, I think my suspension will be good but if I get qouted around 1K for the work im installing it myself and then driving there for the alignment. I really dont want to do it but dont want to throw away that much cash.

Thanks for all your replies guys!

Paul,

It's a really easy job. You might want to save some $$$ and do it yourself
FWIW - I paid $420 for an alignment and corner balance just the other day.

Cheers,
Joe

Yeah, I agree.... Corner balance by itself was around $500 a couple of years ago. Suspension/sway mount plus corner balance cost me around a grand.

Since putting my Walrod bushings I'm looking to get mine aligned and corner balanced, mind if I ask where you went. I've not found a good alignment shop in the Sacramento area.

Has to be Darin at WestEnd in Gardena! He does great work and his prices are more than fair.
