Does anyone know why K40's are a banned topic on radardetector.net? You can't even type that term in.

Google is your friend
Found this in the comments section of an autoblog article on the K40:

"Interestingly, K40 sued (or threatened to sue) the premier radar detector reviewing site (www.radarbusters.com) and forced it to take down a damning review. As a result of an agreement with K40, nobody is allowed even to mention the company name in the discussion forum at www.radardetector.net. I, for one, will not be buying a product whose manufacturer files SLAPP suits against Internet forums who have something less than positive to say."
