Andreas, I don;t see any difference either, but am afraid that some warning light might function differently, perhaps. They generally do not change numbers without reason. Of 5 gauges in a 993 two have 964 numbers, the others should have 993 numbers, including clock. i wonder if there's any way to find out the functionality difference.
Actually, I was thinking along those lines. Would be interesting to find out when they actually changed over, as my car is 9/94 build and it came without immobilizer, but with 993 clock.
The oil gauge also changed at some point in MY96. Some early MY96 cars don't have a CEL because it's in a different location and not illuminated in the earlier cars
Aha, Mike is paying Andreas in quarters. It doesn't explain the sock, but we wouldn't go there
More seriously, the new clock came from a Tip car. I'm wondering if there's any significance to that. Didn't tips all have OBC? If so, maybe something to do with clock difference?
