OT: I going to kill *****....
I've grown tired of covering my black DD every night from the cat. I'm faced with these lil tiny paw prints whenever I forget. I think I've found the solution, take a look. --> http://www.ebaumsworld.com/video/watch/106/
On a serious note someone suggested sprinkling cayenne pepper around and on the car. Anyone ever tried this....?

There is this stuff in a can that deters cats . . . it is called "Boundary" and is available at places like www.kvvet.com . There are other forms of spray deterrent, as well, I am sure. I'd spray it all around the car at first, then maybe gradually just do a few spots. It has worked for me quite well. The neighbor cats like to dig in my gardens, so I spray that stuff around it. My own cat is not allowed out on the lawn very often, but, unlike the rude neighbor cats, he knows better than to mess with my stuff when I do treat him to an outdoor adventure.
So try that spray instead of the suggestions mentioned earlier (obviously, lol -- though water does work!). It's not the cat's fault they have an jerk for an owner. You'll never see my cat on anybody's car -- he damn well knows better. Plus I don't let him wander off around the neighborhood. I say, if you're going to do anything inhumane, do it to the owner of the cat that was not spayed / neutered and then lets it wonder the neighborhood.
EDIT: Okay, finally got brave enough to watch the videos. The water thing cracked me up -- and I'm a cat lover. The only reason I was alerted to this was because someone thought it was cruel. Well, the car sun roof thing was kind of gross, but something tells me it was the work of software. I mean, who'd want '***** juice' all over their seats? Lol. So, sorry if someone gets offended by those two clips -- they really do seem to be intended as a joke. I'm sure no kitties were harmed.

plain cruel... http://www.streetfire.net/video/how-...car_196720.htm
Problem is the darn thing probably left some nice deep scratch marks as a parting gift. i had one sitting on my cab top and when I walked out in the garage it snaged a claw on the top and left a 4" pull in the fabric

Yeah, that stuff should really help, Tony. The only downside is that it's a daily thing, but if it keeps your paint clean, it's worth it. If you could figure out where the cat is launching (likely the bonnet or the rear bumper), you might even put a cover on the car and then spray that stuff directly on the car. That'll get 'em!

You think that's funny? Have you ever put tape on the bottoms of a cat's paws? It's HILARIOUS! I wish I'd filmed it on my cat when I did that. Oh man, it's a riot. Yeah, some might think it's mean, but hey -- my cat's gotta earn his keep somehow -- might as well be to entertain the humans.

I'm with you Craig -- it was a gross video. But even I, a huge cat lover, saw that it was just a joke. Dark humor is everywhere. And you are right, the product won't soon be forgotten. Kind of like those old Cal Worthington (referencing since being in California you've probably seen them) commercials. Every time I used to go to Cal I'd see one of those. Never left my mind, either.
