Default LATEST UPGRADES WITH PICS!!!

Hello Everyone!

As the title states... enjoy!

Front bumper respray... ( bad stone chips)
Existing clear corners "smoked"... done by same paint shop...
Hella Micro DE installed... I installed these actually onto the front bumper in the
foglight recess. After some modifying, I was able to make the T/S duct fit
over the foglight without being attached to it. ( does that make sense?)
I also like how the Hella's have little vertical lines in the lenses, they look
like the same lines in our headlights...
While I had the front bumper off I decided to "swiss cheese" my bumper
support. Whatever, I was bored... shaved less than 2 lbs.
Odyssey 925 battery... My battery finally died for good after about 4 yrs.
so I figured time to upgrade! I decided on the Odyssey 925 over the 680
for streetability. I liked the Rennline bracket, but to save $ I made a simpler
bracket and used the factory location. ..shaved 10 lbs.
Rennline lower dash and radio block off plate... Fit and finish is awesome,
I got the black finish which is almost an exact match to the plastic bits
like the steering column cover, center console plastics, etc.
My 1st plan was to have the items wrapped in leatherette as soon as
I received them, but I think I'll hold off for now... shaved about 20 lbs.
Seine Systems carbon hood props front and rear... cool products, but I just
didn't like the way they want you to install them. So I made a mount for
the rear prop, off one of my existing bolts that connect my carbon wing
to the carbon decklid... the tip of the prop goes into a stainless allen bolt
that replaces one of the motor mount bolts... ( front prop not installed yet )
Just finished a corner bal. and align... dropped the front about 1/2" more
and the rear 1/4" more...

Total weight w/ half tank, about 2950!!

Looks great. Curious how you rigged the Hella's. I have been looking to ditch my ts ducts because of the poor light output. As I understand it, you installed them to the bumper frame and then placed the TS over them?

Yes... more on the Hella installation. Maybe a pcture of the backside. Are they OEM ducts?

All very, very nice!

Thanks! they spray "candy black" or transparent black.. the more "passes"
they spray, the darker the effect. they consider mine 1 pass.

As advertised, 26 lbs... my bracket, 12 oz.

Thanks! but not xenon... they will also work, but these are regular H3's
I think they were like $130... the xenon were to pricey for me!!!

As far as install...
here's more pics... difficult to see when black!

I mounted the lights with the supplied brackets, (which also needed to be
massaged a bit), in the bumper, and aimed them so that the T/S duct would
mount over them like a cover. I had to massage the duct a little on the inside
to make them perfectly flush on the Hella. I read the other DYI with these
lights but I didn't want to trim the fog light housing, or bolt them, or glue them
to the T/S duct. The little mounting tab on my ducts broke a while back,
and I believe it was b/c the weight of the cheap 35w fogs mine came with.

I also found out the "aim" was perfect. (or the beam on the ground)

Great job on the Hella lights. They are nice lights, and hopefully will give you a few years of use. I've gone through three (3) sets on my '01 4Runner - moisture works its way under the rear rubber cover and allows the magnesium housing to simply rot away into a mess of white powder. Hella has been kind enough to replace these over the years.
