Lambo doors belong on Lambos. Chrome wheels belong on pimped out Caddys. 993TT motors belong on cars that can handle them. Thez carz r 'bout tha drivin' not 'bout tha pimpin'. Seriously though, you may want to test drive a real 993 to understand what these cars are truly all about. GL and welcome.

I searched with TinEye to find other instances of the OP's pics, but turned up nothing. Thread does have a trollish flavor though, for sure. That said, I love the color

Whats wrong with a modified Porsche the original Porsche was a modified VW after all.

Before you diz my ride keep in mind I only paid $10K cash for it...pretty cheap for a 911...and a real 993TT costs over $60K so I think I did OK. Tha paint job alone cost $6000...then $8000 worth of interior and 993TT parts at LAPD and he spent $1000 just to get it passed smog. All in all he spend over 20 Gs on it besides the car itself an I got papers for all of it.

And Lambo doors and chrome rimz are part of tha SoCal car seen so try to be open minded...get lots of stares and complements on my 911 here in LA.

If you do want to sell it, I know of someone by the name of Joey Carrera who will be interested.

Woah, woah woah, lets think back on our first porsche examples and we may not be far off the mark he's set!
This is obviously a younger fellow who is under the presumption that if you have the lions share of SHOW you likely don't need the GO!
His only mistake is that 75% of these cars' is the GO and the show is just icing on the cake!
sorry to digress ,california is known for these horific updates from the eighties and early ninties but
this is just way wrong!!!

How much moo la does a 993TT motor run so I can start savin up for it.
are these two different cars that just happen to be painted the same color?

So, enjoy the car for what it is. Save the money, buy the real McCoy later on and do the mods to that instead.

This is a sweet looking car. I saw a similar one in Irvine a few months ago, no Lambo doors though and it has a small block cheby.

I think you should install a turbo subie engine.

VCR = Village Coffee Roaster, the biggest weekly socal car meet until it ended a couple of months ago.

I believe you've got a 1976 912E. Type 923 2.0L with 86 HP and 93 ft/lbs of torque, according to "Excellence was Expected." During roadtesting, C&D got a 0-60 time of 9.7s, while R&T got a time of 11.3. That's the bad. The good is that one websource said that 38MPG isn't that uncommon!

If you want to investigate the subbie conversion, just do a search for "porsche subaru conversion." Lots of stuff comes up. Here's a 914 with a subbie flat-6:

Or throw a V-8 in it:

Man, that's a lot of money dumped into a 912... I do like the color though and black wheels go well with that color. Please no chrome! Lambo doors are well stupid enough already.

For $20-25k you could buy a real nice 911. Or a nice 993.
(FYI, yours is neither)

What kind of suspension it has? Looks like TT brakes so maybe the suspension is up to par also but you need to have an upgraded suspension before you start dumping any kind of serious motor in there.
