How about slamming in a 3.2 motor instead? Much cheaper, sounds good and will be reasonably quick?!! I would think that 993TT motor + 912 chassis = Death Trap!!...........No?

First of all: welcome!
This looks like a really nice conversion!
I would probably change the rims at some point, these look really cheap!
I would then look into a cheaper engine alternative. Spending over 20k on a motor for that car makes absolutely no sense to me. You don't need a 993tt engine to have fun in such a light car.

Maybe a 993TT motor is to much for a '76 911...$25000 is definitely to much! How about a regular 993 motor...thanks for your suggestions.

If you're thinking of upgrading the engine, I would start by upgrading everything else to handle the extra power. If you go fast, you need to be able to maneuver fast and brake fast. a 993TT is more than a pretty metal skin and a turbo engine. I'd be concerned on the condition of the current chasis, brakes and suspension.
So, enjoy the car for what it is. Save the money, buy the real McCoy later on and do the mods to that instead.
Welcome aboard.

Hello mate,
You have a big problem; someone with poor taste put a $5000 gown on a two bit *****.
I would not put any money into your car. Sell it off then buy a real 911.

Welcome. I agree that you should just enjoy the car as it is while beginning the hunt for your next great Porsche.
(Although I suspect this post could be a bit less than on the level.)

Here's a '90 964 3.6 Engine being sold by an RL'r here. You have to realize that even at this price you are spending 1/3 the cost of a nice, real 964 Porsche ...
