Default ROW bumper - Fill Holes or Go Euro?

For those with a North American spec bumper that have upgraded to ROW NB or Turbo look, how many of you have used the stock bumper and filled the bumperette and license plate holes?

How many of you have bought an OE ROW bumper instead?

Curious to know your rationale for choosing one approach over the other.

Best,

Matt

Filled em. Why? I'm cheap.

I considered the risks and opted for filling the holes on my US Turbo bumper (installed by original owner a few months after purchase). Time will tell if this was a wise decision.

I bought front and back OEM from Gert. I was worried the patch job could be botched and crack after time.

Next car I may do the patch to save the cheese.

Fill. And then got a ProMount tow eye hook plate frame (great quality, btw) In CA we get fix-it tickets without a front plate.

Then bumperette delete and Euro corners and you have the next best thing to a genuine ROW bumper.

OEM from Gert front & rear. PO did it, so I can't complain. He did everything by the book, even bought OEM HIDs.

Filled by a highly qualified body shop that knew what they were doing. 2+ years later and have never looked back.

I filled mine because the wife put me on a budget that I couldn't afford to bust. 2+ years and they still look factory/oem.

I went new Euro bumper, but all that means is I spent more money. My bumper was sand blasted pretty bad, gouged underneath and overall not in great shape. It was really only about $550.00 more to just go new because of all the repair work that would of been done on the original. If my bumper was in good shape I would have filled it.

Thanks guys, this is helpful.

In my case, I unfortunately have a US turbo bumper installed and I need a NB one to mount the RS splitters. So no matter what, I need a new (to me) bumper.

Question is do I bother with sourcing a used NB bumper and fill holes, or a new ROW one. At the end of the day, it comes down to how much $ for the used US bumber plus body work vs. cost of the ROW bumper outright.

Best,

Matt
