Default Good PPI facility for 993's in LA

Hey all,
I'm looking for a reputable/respected Porsche specialist in the Los Angeles area to do a PPI on a 993. Anyone have recommendations?

Thanks!

The Los Angeles area is huge. Where specifically? Also if you search you'll find a thread on this (where to get a ppi in LA) and also a special thread on recommended places for a ppi all over the US.

In West LA I highly recommend Dean, Jon and Mark here:http://www.200nmw.com/

+1. I used TRE for my 993 PPI and was very happy with them.

+1 on these guys. Just as good as TRE and/or Callas, and probably much less expensive than both those others.

Hey everyone, thanks for the quick input. I just got an answer as to where exactly the car is located:

zip code 90068, in the Hollywood hills - Burbank and Hollywood area.

Are any of these recommendations near there?

TRE is in Van Nuys, so I'm guessing about a 1/2 hour drive(?)

West LA and No. Hollywood are closer to that area than Torrance. And really, the West LA location noted above is really just outside of Beverly Hills.

TRE did a PPI for me a few months ago. Found several deal breaker issues. Reasonably priced and thorough. Would recommend without hesitation.

Thanks everyone! You've all been very helpful. I'll contact both TRE and the 200 NMW guys tomorrow. Should I mention any names when I speak with them?

TRE....Say that Haydn passed on the recommendation. They may remember the British accent or the Carrera S I had them PPI, which turned out to have a leaking RMS, steering pump and sundry engine casing gaskets.

Thanks CorrdoBrit, I appreciate the input. I'll keep that in mind should I find another prospective 993 in LA. The seller of the car I was looking at is moving out of country in a week, so I had to pass. I won't be able to meet her deadline.
Thanks guys!

I believe that TRE is very "race" oriented, and is not the only choice in the Valley. For PPIs and maintenance, TLG Auto in North Hollywood could be a better choice: http://www.tlgauto.com/

If I'm not mistaken, there may be posts here about TRE "missing things" on a PPI. My friend lives in the valley, got a bad/arrogant impression from TRE but has been very happy with TRG. No affiliation yadda: http://www.yelp.com/biz/tlg-auto-north-hollywood
