Tony: no surfers when i took the pics. probably today as the winds will shift from NE to offshore making for great surf.

Steve. the pics were taken in NJ

That snow blower looks like the Toro 2 cycle single stage unit I used when we got the 23" snow up in DE. WAY underpowered for the job it needed to do. I think I went out 4 or 5 times during the storm to keep on top of it. It was almost as much work as shoveling would have been. Amazing how much of a sweat you can work up even using a snow thrower.

Good job guys, great photos. Be kind to your mailmen please, clear a path to your mailbox too. I couldn't believe how many neighbors left their mailboxes completely blocked and then bitched because the mailman wouldn't deliver to them.

And the clean up, waterproof gear and all......:
LOL!!! The bags are too funny. Thanks for posting the pics, it makes those of us in NE feel better. ;-)

BTW - I am often amazed at just how much snow the little 2-cycle snowthrowers can handle. Much easier to throw around than my big 4-cycle 2-stage that I recently sold.

The snow was about 6" higher than my Toro 2 cycle and it worked great. First time I ever used it and I was so happy with it I almost brought it in the living room by the fire

Well, when we moved to Landenberg, PA with a 360' driveway I got a Ariens 4 cycle 2 stage 20" thrower. Did a much better job than the Toro, but it's almost an apples/oranges comparison. I agree though, the Toro did a much better job than I ever thought it could. I think 4 of my neighbors wound up borrowing it that storm.

Just got back in from b'kfast at Panera Bread, a 5 min drive on a normal day. I saw so many folks stuck and sliding. Some of these drivers don't have a clue; there was this one guy in a Camaro stuck at the traffic continually spinning his wheels, while on the cellphone. I know he didn't have on snow tires..eesh

This snow blower, plus the other smaller one did the trick.

One of the few times the $#$#$ snow blower was working this weekend, fortunately I'd shoveled the driveway the night before so there was only a couple of feet to clear.

Dogs say they love snw but they would like a little less next time around.

Neighbor had to shovel off the roof of the crappy porch addition so he could open the door, one of my dogs running aorund down below trying to catch the snow as it came down.

Cleaned off just enough of the Audi to pull it out into the dead end to clean it off.

SpeedBump, nice looking dogs. I know from experience they make great supervisors but don't ask them to do any real work.

Great photos too.

5 - 10 inches on the news..

On the upside, no work tomorrow.. but I bet there be an item off the honey-do-list that needs tending.

Thanks. They were trying to help one mouthful at a time, but once the cars were free they just wanted to go for a ride. When the snow blower is going the one dog is a lunatic he just wants to get in the stream of snow. I'm not sure who was more upset when it was not working him or me. He kept walking up to the blower and pawing at it. Does the same thing with the leaf blower, compressor and especially the hose (lock him up when the pressure washer is out).
