Hargett Precision Aluminum Valve Covers Group Buy-UPDATE
So the boys at FDMotorsports have set up a group buy on the Hargett valve covers. Here's the skinny.......
993 upper or lower......list $310/pr
If they get 5 more orders, they can sell them for $265/pr,($290/pr for TT lower valve covers (reg.$335)) plus shipping ,drop shipped from Hargett Precision.
They also put together a kit with 2 new lower vc gaskets and 22 (11 each side) new vc bolts for $35, plus shipping (this will ship from FDM.) Post up if you are interested or have any questions and the FD chimps will pm you.

Damed, where have you been for 5 month ago?!? On my C4S got a leaking lower valve cover gasket and bought the Hargett Aluminum cover as the factory one made from plastic. Not cool on an engine with hot oil cooling ...

I have the Hargett on my Trackmeister, and the IA ones on my 993 ...like them both. The Eagle Day has better "finish" machining, and of course is anodized; The IA is very clean aesthetically, but some don't like the logo ...I like it, but that's irrelevant since they are NLA. The Harget has lots of tooling marks which are perfectly acceptable given where they are, not to mention this ain't no beauty contest. All said, I'd go with the cheapest one, and IMHO this GB is a killer opportunity for anyone here who is contemplating them.

Cactus- I spoke with Mark at FD this afternoon. I'm in on the group buy if it happens. I'm going to call on Monday and place my order with him. He indicated that it looks like they have enough interest in the group buy. My order will be for the lowers for a 993TT.

Any high res pics of the Hargets that are the subject of the group buy?
I dont necessarily mind some machining marks on the finish side, but the seal-side needs to be uber smooth.
I may be interested in the lowers for the 993

I can post some pix of the covers installed on a turbo, engine out.
the machine marks are kind of cool, in my opinion. Remind me of watch mechanism.
will post later... posting this via smart phone
thanks AOW!
