Default Yellow foglights & Blue HID's

I want to buy a set of Yellow Bulbs for my 993 but I dont know what company makes good yellow bulbs. Last time I bought a set that said yellow they werent yellow at all.

Anyone know a Good Yellow Bulb?

I have a HID kit and want to get the Yellow Bulbs because I like that look for the foglights.

Blue HIDs produce too much glare I'd avoid them. 4200K is the best temperature for HID bulbs in terms of visibility.

I haven't found a good source for yellow bulbs as I use them on my Audi. The ones from Ebay or the local Autozone, Pepboys, etc. would burn out in about 50 hours. I ended up using yellow adhesive film and Silverstars. Great results.

There was just recently a thread about a Rennlister who installed yellow capsules for foglights. I'll do some searches later if I have time.

P.S. Did some advanced searches, but no joy.

What film did you use? I've always assumed it would just burn up from the heat of the bulb. By the way your comment about the Ebay bulbs is right on - mine lasted even less that 50 hours.

I used something like this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/05-06...Q5fAccessories (may have even been the same product from the same company)

I never had an issue with the film burning up and I've had it installed for over a year.

I get mine here:
http://www.danielsternlighting.com/p.../products.html

Scroll to almost halfway down to the H3 section and find:
55W CPI Gold (produces selective-yellow light): $15.50/ea

Daniel Stern is a great guy, I wasn't aware that he carried that product. How long have you had the bulbs and what are your impressions?

Well learned a lesson. A little searching goes a long way.
Found the same bulbs for sale on the candlepower website. Ordered 2 of them for $31
