Mike, have you seen the VDO boost gauge? It looks more OEM. I had it in my RSA and it looked almost stock:

Well....I started all over again. I'm going to go with a countersunk more shallow set up..More like the stock Chrono. Give me time to fix that mess.... That was too high for me..

I wanted to use the VDO gauge on my old audi, but I was ruinning more than 25lbs boost.

The autometer stuff does look kind of chincy, but perhaps that means you need to upgrade your gauges to white or silver.

To be frank, I always thought the sport chrono gauge looked very tacked on. I understand the need to see the gauge, but I prefer the modification of the clock

I think if that were tucked into the corner of the windshield just ahead of the A pillar it would look pretty good...fairly stealthy and not as ricer'ish as having 3-4 guage pods mounted on the A pillar

I had mine installed in place of the radio. The other 2 gauges are AFR and voltage meter. I mounted them on a radio delete plate (OEM part for $3.50 from Sunset).

Porsche even offered an option of a boost gauge mounted in the driver side HVAC vent back in the 80s. I believe it can fit on a 993. But they are hard to find these days...

Here's what mine looked like:

My car has the silver gauges, thats why I went with the Autometer. That's the only company that makes a 2" silver gauge..
