Personally I'd take an E39 M5 over a W210 E55.

But I'd take a W211 E55 or a W211 E63 over an E60 M5.

I totally Agree. The e39 M5 is so good I owned mine twice! These raelly are a great machine with majic handling, a wonderful engine and unreal performance that defies their hp and size. They make a brilliant partner with the 993 to perform daily duty. Technically they are faster than the 993 but quite a different car. A driver car tho....

Cheers

Great video. I had a 98 5 series and dreamed of having one of the E39 M-5's. Great car indeed!

I bought a new 2003 M5 and had the Dinan S2 package installed as well as OZ wheels, Tubi exhaust, carbon fiber rear diffuser, etc, etc, etc.
Definetly, not a daily driver.

It was fast as hell (445hp), but my heart was calling for another Porsche.

So here I am!

+1. The E34 M5 is to the sedan world what the 993 is to the sports car world. Although since I currently own one, I might be a little biased.

I've always loved the E39.

This is about as close to the E39 M5 as I'm allowed to get right now though (new kid and all)! It's an '02 540 Touring Sport (that I still have yet to take a decent picture of). Still a fun daily driver though!!!

+1 ---- My E34 535i may not have the power, but the upgraded suspension has made it a keeper ....

The e34 M5 is still a really good looking car. But it seems like the interiors do not wear very well.

Owned an e39 and those are great cars; and some of the best deals going on the used car market.
