Default New Wheels - OZ Alleggeritas in black

Thanks to Damon at Tire Rack, my new OZ Alleggeritas arrived via UPS yesterday. It was a 60-day wait from Italy, but well worth it! I first saw these wheels in Anthracite at FDMotorsports on mongrelcat's (thanks Jason) 993. When I found they were available in black, I had to have them. They are 18's with NB offsets (8" in front, 10" in rear). Here are a few pics....

Those are great looking wheels. I am been looking for a new pair of black and these may do the trick for next year.

Look great and, more importantly, are super light. If I'm honest though, my favorite look on red is black centers with polished lips.

Wheels look fantastic but now they make your brakes look small. Time now to upgrade to turbo brakes...

Not matt, more of a satin finish. Where did you get those black Porsche crest caps?

The pics look good but the car looks awesome in person.
Nice choice Paul!
I want those wheels... but I'm torn. Already in the middle of a wheel project.
I have Porsche Accessory ADD. PAADD?

Will those wheels hold up to track duty?

My question, as well. They seem so light, and so inexpensive, that I'd be afraid of a failure, especially at the rear under high load. Andy Jenks destroyed his 964 cup car at last year's Summit Point race when a cup rim folded in T8. Brutal crash.

The wheel is low-pressure cast and shot-peened.

Tire Rack calls them 'Painted Black' but according to OZ Racing's website, they are 'Matt Black'. I think they are between satin and matte finish, it's a great look. The center caps are Porsche PN 993 361 303 11 9A1, which is just a silver and black logo. They were custom hand-painted by an artist in Miami, I will probably sell them because I am waiting on the OZ carbon fiber caps from Tire Rack.

For how the Alleggeritas will hold up to track use, I can tell you that OZ is no stranger to high-end racing wheels (Formula 1, etc) and they list these under their 'Racing' category. http://www.ozracing.com/at-team/whee...ggerita-hlt/en
