303 and Leatherique (once or twice a year with the Leatherique). Clay Magic is best clay bar I've found.
Wash the car with Dawn (strips the wax), clean the paint with the bar and lubricant, polish (I use 3M Imperial Hand Glaze) and wax.
Then drive.

I do the clay thing once a year. It cleans the paint surface. Your paint will be 'unprotected' after claying so you need to do this in combination with waxing the car.

If your paint hasn't been 'cleaned' lately, you'll feel grit and small 'bumps' on the paint surface if you rub your hand lightly over the cars surface. After claying, all gone.

After you do all this, get a good detailing spray and clean the car between washes with the spray.

Have fun.

It really doesn't matter to much what products you use, as long as you use them & keep the car looking tip top. Yes, some are much better then others. Really try to stay away from any thing with silicone in it, & of course some have a lot of questionable chemicals in them.

You can never go wrong with Griot's. All of their stuff in on the mild side, & very safe. But it is expensive. 303 is good stuff, just to shinny for me. It does have some great UV protection.

I really like 1z/Einszett products, there made in Germany, used by a lot of the OEM's & everything does what it should. It's also priced right.

Try to stay away from the gimmick cheap stuff you find at the local Wallmart, or auto parts store. It's about the only stuff that can do more harm then good.

After a car wash feel the paint, if it's not baby butt smooth, it's time to clay. That is the only reason to clay. Claying can & will put in some light scratches & it will remove wax & every other thing in the paint. Usually when you clay, you do a light polish & wax. If not you really don't have any protection left on the car.

They are the devil. Well, really they are useful for certain things. Like when you get bird crap on the car, you use the spray to clean it off, or to clean up any other kind of thing, when you can't wash it. You can also use them after a car wash to put some shine back on the car, as a wax booster.

Be careful, if your car has any kind of real dirt on it, & you use the spray it can scratch the car. Really if you have a black car, try real hard to not use any kind of detail spray on it. Unless you are super careful & need to use it.

I use Zaino products on my car, a carry over from the PO. It takes a good part of the entire day to get the 3 coats of polishes on and off the car always preceded by a good wash, clay bar, followed by another wash before the polish. I'll do this twice a year.

+1 as well for 303, looks great when done, not shiny like others.
