Default Crank pulley query

Is it possible to remove the crank pulley with the engine in place? If so, should removing the cat and dropping the engine until the case touches the sway bar be sufficient?

Just curious.......

Its possible, just not probable

So, you need to remove the pulley because of some polishing compound dripped behind the pulley?

Better than going to see Mellissa Ethridge like Mr. Prickly.

Sorry, hope I haven't set a path for thread derailment.......I've been good lately.

Been a while since I have done it, but I think you have to take the engine carrier out, which means exhaust/cat/vent tubes/sheet metal. You can then lower the engine a bit (since you need to support it anyways given you removed the engine mounts) and take off the pulley. I put the car in gear and had someone stand on the brakes (while its on the lift).

did not have to remove the swaybars.

cheers,

Mike

Thank you, kind sir. At least one person with a modicum of decency around here!
