I'm a longtime Audi fan as well, currently on my third, a Sprint Blue 2010 B8 S4. This car is truly brilliant, and I'm constantly amazed at how many things it just does really well. The kids fit in the back, and it will make it through any weather to the ski hill, which is my main concern in winter. I think it's the perfect compliment to the 993. I live in the land of a long snowy winter, so this gets me through that time No question it's amazingly fast in a straight line, but I've also been pleased with how well this handles, and how much they've dialed out the understeer that used to be so prevalent. Add to that the comfort/luxury/quiet smooth ride, and I love it. That said, on a summer evening, there's NO question which car I'm taking out, but as a combination, it's the best of both worlds.

Crappy cell phone pic on day of delivery last October. Those are the 18" winter rims.

I had an A4 2.0T Quattro w/winter tires and it was unstoppable in the winter. An S4 would be even better.

Yeah that's really sharp. I have always liked S4's. I wish they would continue to import the wagon though.

Ohhhhh yeeeeaaaahhh!

Forgotten all about that Audi by now, haven't you? Fantastic cars, but not an air-cooled 911!

The S4 is quick and hugely competent in the snow and ice we had ... however, it was a real pain the the neck.. Literally. Had to go to a physio twice! picked up a mint A8 Sport instead.. And here's the irony I sold the S4 to a fellow 993 owner.

:Ohhhhh yeeeeaaaahhh!" is that good?!

I have a 2000 S4 that is my DD, had a 993 ( loved it) and now have a GT3. The Audi is amazing. Best car in snow, better than my 4wd truck. Odd, I have a bad back, and the Audi seats fit me perfectly...100 mi/day. I am really attracted to the new 2010 S4, but my 2000 keeps on going. Now has 131k, chipped at 500 mi. with an MTM stage 1, set up like Boulderbobo with Miltek exhaust, Stasis (motorsport) suspension, etc. I'm on my 3rd p-car, and my 3rd Audi. I've had them all on the track, but now the GT3 is the track animal, and the Audi is DD only.
Great to hear that the 2010 S4 is as good or better than the B5.

176K and counting. The thing is as strong today as the day I chipped it over 110,000 miles ago.

Best car ever in the snow.

B5 S4 = Beast

Default Interior

Finished the interior off today..
Center console in black Alcantera, new door card(DIY) with recessed speakers and then covered in half a cow. The seats, which had really passed their sell by date, came up superbly. I used a specialist for these..

I think you need to change the title of your thread to Salut!

Great looking car. My first 911 was Pacific Blue on Linen.

Beautiful interior! But, I think you put the shifter on the wrong side.
