Default LOOKING TO TRADE: 2005 MB E55 AMG for 1996-98 993 C2S or C4S?

Hello,

This may be a long shot, but I would like to see if anyone here is looking for a nice 4-door sedan to replace their 993 C2S or C4S . I have a 2005 Mercedes Benz E55 AMG, 2nd owner, flint gray exterior with black interior. Loaded minus distronic laser cruise and dual sunroof. 55K miles. Excellent condition. Clean/clear title.

Value $33K -kbb.com/private party/excellent condition. (Plus or minus cash from me. Title in hand on my car.)

Please PM or email me: red96m3atyahoodotcom .
Thanks in advance.

No offense, but you would have to give me 3 of them for me to even consider.

Actually... I think I saw a for-sale ad on Pelican where a 993 owner was looking to trade for a 4-door sedan due to a newly arrived baby. Think it was a narrow-body, though.

Not likely for a widebody S, but good luck!

I sold my 02 E55 to get my C2. But I had a hard time selling the AMG - I learn the blackbook pricing is useless on these cars. Good luck!

Some member usually don't read the entire post before replying to them, you might be one of them. This transaction may be be a straight across trade. I had a 1996 C4S before, it was getting close to 100K miles and I wanted something nicer. A C2S or C4S prices can range from high 20s to 60s or more.

No offense, this car can give your C2S a "3" car lengths on a 1/4 mile run and win!

True. But your car is an older model E55, I think ~366HP, like the C55? My model is a V8 supercharged, 469HP 0-60MPH is 4.2 seconds. The newer E63 is 505HP but not as quick or fast like the W211 E55.

Like I said, it a long shot of finding the right owner of a C2S/C4S and the right situation.

Thanks.

I think you'll be having to add cash on your end. E55 are sweet, but I see a lot of '05 or '06 models on ebay for BIN in the high 20's. Quite a deal when you consider how much they were new and how much car you get for your money!

Thanks. The build sheet on my E55 was $93K! We got a minivan, so I would let that be my people carrier vehicle, and use the Porsche for a fun, get out once in a while car.

Thanks Chuck. From the beginning with Honda Civic, 300ZX TT, Supra, S2000, NSX, MR2, BMW M3, M5, MB E55 and now Porsches. Hopefully, one of these days, I can afford to get a Ferrari F430 or 599.

Hopefully, I won't be Porsche-less too long.
