Just put 3k miles on my 993 in 2 weeks...
All:
The more I drive this car, the more I like it!
If you have a manual transmission, install a 'Golden-rod' shift linkage. The difference is amazing.
If you are on the fence about lowering/stiffening, DO IT! I had PSS10's installed and had the car lowered to 'just below Euro' ride height. Again, amazing difference.
If you are hesitant to put miles on your car, get over it! These cars were built to be driven.
On with the pics...
First night was in bend, OR.
Then down to Crater Lake National Park...
Drove down to Klamath Falls and met up with a group of Porsche enthusiasts;
On to Reno, NV, where we did a couple of day trips...
Into Yosemite National park...
Then back up the coast and home...
Only mishap was the belt sensor went bad (thanks Stace for the helpful advice on that). Had a new one put in by Tim at German Master Tech in Bend, OR while I was getting the car inspected for my first DE.
Great trip in a fantastic car!
Cheers,
Paul.

Paul,
Looks like a great trip. It's good to see stories of these things getting driven. I think I have you beat though. I did 3350 miles on mine in a week. Actually the first week I owned it (purchased in MA and drove it back across the country to CA). I've not been up to Yosemite yet with mine. That was part of the original x-country plan, but by the time we got close to Nevada we were ready to get home. There are some great roads in the gold rush country area around Yosemite.

great write-up...very inspiring...i agree with you about these cars being used for their intended purpose. I just might see you on the road while on one of my many planned excursions some day...
