I suppose what we need to do now is to build another one. Any takers??

In all honesty, although me and Marc could jump at the chance to work in NA the reality is that we would have to move lock, stock & barrel because we can't clone ourselves, hence the only available solution for future NA 9m devotees is to put their car on a ship. Since the job is going to take 6-12 months in any case, the time (& cost) to get the car across the Pond would be negligible. No duties payable either because the car would not need to be UK registered whilst the work was going on.

Graham

After all of the wheel discussions, the turbo twists were the final choice?
I like them, and they fit the period of the car best in my opinion.

Got them straight from my local OPC - genuine standard Sport Classic fitment. Fairly pricey - but not as much as some people may think! I got a good deal with a nice % discount! To give you an idea,
there's a new set on fleabay at the moment for £3k!
Happy hunting

Colin, this all sounds really good, but you know the Pacifiic Northwest is where you REALLY want to be. Besides all the work you would have on the West Coast, as soon as the Midwest and Eastcoast boys got wind of it, you'd be busier than a one-armed paper hanger ... then you could buy that summer home in the lake district .......

Totally identify. Last year at Monterey, CA's Laguna Seca Raceway, the following were featured in PCA's "Porsche Island" factory showcase.
I wouldn't have any images, though, if it weren't for heroes like fellow Speedster owner & RLer C4SDave

What these two photo's make REALLY apparent is the much cleaner look of the 964 Clamshell to body design .....

Colin, I'm glad somebody finally suggested it. No need to clone yourselves...come over, set up shop, and come back once a quarter to ensure everything is being carried out according to your meticulous specifications.

I know, I know...much easier to "type" this than to execute. But you can't blame those of us, on this side of the pond, for dreaming!!! My wallet would be one of those at the door!
