I'm going to have to unsubscribe to this thread... it's freakin' killing me.
Perhaps I'll drive my new to me Lexus IS300 up for the event. ;-)
Mike... that sounds great, riding shotgun, but my wife would seriously kill me if I went to Eureka w/o her. We may just plan an overnight trip that weekend anyway and catch up with a few folks.

It won't be a Porsche, but the IS300 is no slouch. Could be fun.
I hope you make it.

Porsche Palooza 2009
Brian/Everyone - You don't have to drive a Porsche to attend/visit the event. Drive anything you like. My father is driving his Lexus, so feel free to drive anything you like. We'll be going up very early that morning because I'll be showing large prints again this year (from last year's event).
Travis - thanks for posting the link to my website for the Palooza event books & prints! If anyone wants one of those prints, please order asap - so I can bring the print with me. http://www.kellyshipp.com/photos/porsche-palooza.php
Here are some samples from last year...

If you haven't attended, you really should make the effort to attend this year. It's one of the larger PCA/Porsche events and continues to grow each year. If you think you might go, reserve a room at the hotel ASAP. The rate is only $79/night, while rooms last - they only reserved a preset number. Most of the activities are at the convention center, next door to the hotel -- very convenient.
As for parking, there is plenty of parking at the convention center. There is usually a security guard 24/7 to watch the cars.
Fun event with a lot of friendly, Porsche enthusiasts.

There will hopefully be at least one more. I have a friend going who is a 997 driver currently. He has, however, seen the grievous error of his ways and is on the verge of converting to 993ism within the next few days. If all goes according to plan, he'll be in a 993tt by Palooza time.
