Porsche Palooza in Eureka Springs, AR

BufordTJ reminded me this is coming up and I haven't seen any threads on it.

Anyone here going? If I still have my car come November, we may try to make it up for the Saturday events at least.

There's been a growing contingent from the DFW area the last two years that meets up with Travis and his Arkansas crew around Alma for the drive up the Pig Trail. I've been looking forward to it the last couple of years. Several of us already have hotel reservations.

If you're already in AR, this is a must attend event. Great fun and great people. I'm part of the growing Dallas group that will be there.

I think I have the wife talked into it if I still have my 993. With the market the way it is, and me not NEEDING to sell it, chances are high it'll still be around.

If it is, I will probably try to meet everyone in Alma for the drive up as well.

I know Chuck (csertich) has attended the last couple years, too. I think he had a group coming from the east that met in Little Rock where you are located and headed north BEFORE they hit the Pig Trail. Patrick, you're certainly welcome to join us, but Chuck's group, assuming he's going this year, is probably more convenient logistically for you.

UA Graduate - now in Atlanta

I graduated from UA in 1983 and am now in Atlanta. I'd love nothing more than to come back to Northwestern Arkansas for a Porsche event, but it's a long way from Atlanta. If there were a convoy or a trailer or two, I'd be there in a minute. Any other Atlantans or Georgians interested?

Dan,

I wouldn't miss the event. I should have some folks from Nashville and Little Rock driving up with me.

Patrick-I hope you still have your car. We will definitely meet and drive up together.

Brian,

Are you bringing both cars again this year?

JimGinKC 08-16-2009 02:15 AM

we're planning on it, and the KCWS usually has good attendance for this event - hope to see everyone there

That's the plan. I spent a fortune getting them both to Colorado in July so I'm going to have be extra nice to my wife so she'll let me take them to Palooza. :D

If I do, I'll probably offload the cgt at Alma so I can drive it up the Pig Tail. That road was a blast!
