Default LUC Dual Mass Fly wheel?

Has anyone used these Luc dual Mass flywheels? I'm looking to replace my clutch on a 1995 C4 coupe and trying to keep it some what stock. Prices seem ok on the net and Ebay for these Luc flywheels but I'm looking for suggestions from the forum for buying clutch and flywheel. Is Sachs the clutch to use? Can you resurface a Dual Mass flywheel rather than replace it? Any experience with these products will help.
Thanks
Steve

Sachs, yes and I'd stick with the OE DMF by Luk if you are not going to a LWFW.
Should be about $750 for an OEM Luk DMF incl. replacement bolts (964 114 012 02)

Some have resurfaced their DMF but the flywheel's dampening can also fail and cause a vibration or shudder when engaging clutch.

Luk and Sachs are both Porsche OE mfg for these cars so you are in good shape if you go with them.

A complete clutch kit with flywheel (and all other necessary bits) runs about $1500

We've installed the eBay LUK flywheels before without any trouble, thankfully.

Just make sure you buy a new one and not a used one. My understanding (thanks Steve Weiner) is that even low-mileage DMFs can be toasted by a few drop-clutch starts.

I found on ebay the Luc flywheel for $599 and the Sachs clutch kit for $512. So there are good prices out there. Does anyone know if I have to drop the engine or do the change with the engine in place? Which is easier?
Thanks for the update.

On a 1995 C4..? Yep - drop the engine & tranny.. I don't know how far you are from me - but some would say I have an over abundance of experience in dropping 1995 c4 engines/trannys... (HEH!!)

yup, just clutch kit and FW is less. There are other parts that should be changed at the same time...
