running a wire down the "A" Pillar to behind the dash
I am thinking of glass mounting a sound field processor control head using a modified rear view mirror mount to the windshield above the rear view mirror and running the wire into the headliner/trim area above the mirror and over and down the "A" pillar to behind the dash. Has anyone run any wires down the a pillar before? I'm not sure how it comes apart and I'm not sure a wire will even fit in there. The interior leather/vinyl of the headliner and pillar looks like it is stretch fit and might be a PITA to attempt to do this.

Dont' bother taking the A pillar apart...for my V-1 installs I have run the wire between the windshield and the pillar IIRC. Use a popsicle stick to push the wire into the gap...once it gets past the seam there is a decent amount of space behind...this makes removal a cinch if you decide to one day. For the wire running above near the headliner you can just tuck it behind the rubber gasket...it helps a bit if you notch the gasket where the wire will exit above but I didn't bother.

Sorry... It's a piece of car audio gear with a remote mount control head. It's the size of a single DIN car stereo faceplate but is only about a half inch deep with a wire to attach it to the main box.
Here's a picture.

Is this something that you constantly have to fiddle with? If not I would mount it in the back of the glovebox or inside the doorpockets if you have the hi-fi option.
