Default running a wire down the "A" Pillar to behind the dash

I am thinking of glass mounting a sound field processor control head using a modified rear view mirror mount to the windshield above the rear view mirror and running the wire into the headliner/trim area above the mirror and over and down the "A" pillar to behind the dash. Has anyone run any wires down the a pillar before? I'm not sure how it comes apart and I'm not sure a wire will even fit in there. The interior leather/vinyl of the headliner and pillar looks like it is stretch fit and might be a PITA to attempt to do this.

Dont' bother taking the A pillar apart...for my V-1 installs I have run the wire between the windshield and the pillar IIRC. Use a popsicle stick to push the wire into the gap...once it gets past the seam there is a decent amount of space behind...this makes removal a cinch if you decide to one day. For the wire running above near the headliner you can just tuck it behind the rubber gasket...it helps a bit if you notch the gasket where the wire will exit above but I didn't bother.

Thank you!

My XK5 De-Modulator has been stolen, and I was hoping that this device might replace it.

Warpig: I ran my hands free mic as David suggests between the windshield and the pillar. Very easy route.

It clears the flux capacitor.

I'll take a closer look. My only concern is that the wire is fairly thick. It's about the size of a computer power cord

Sorry... It's a piece of car audio gear with a remote mount control head. It's the size of a single DIN car stereo faceplate but is only about a half inch deep with a wire to attach it to the main box.

Here's a picture.

I didn't realize it was so thick....alternately you could use the double sided tape used to run telephone wire along baseboards and just tuck it in the corner between the windshield and the A-pillar if it's too think to push through. I doubt anyone would notice it unless they were specifically looking for the wire, esp if the cord is black.
