Congratulations. Welcome to the Madness!!

Let's see for how long you can keep it stock if you hang around here for too long.

J-- Welcome to a great group. Good job posting pix: she's a beauty. Sounds like you know how to keep her looking slick.

Although primarily stock black, please add an interior photo when you have time.

Very well done intro post!

Welcome back to a red Porsche. I'd be interested to hear your comparisons with Boxster ownership sometime, & whether you considered returning vs. a 993.

So with what supplies I have in hand I am headed out to make her shine.

I dont race but am interested in the favorite performance mods on the 993.
Favorite performance mods? Tons of different opinions -- recent thread on the subject.

FWIW, at least 1 other Otter on here, RLer 'Wreck Me Otter' out in Monterey, CA. He's mostly on the racing forum these days.

Good move! I'm sure you saw my posts when I bought from Holt back in April. I agree about the ride home to North Carolina. It was a great part of the buying experience. My wife and I went up in our Z3 and she followed me all the way home to the mountains. Congratulations!

Great looking car. And very nice pics.

My silver '95 came from Holt Motorsports too.

I live out in the Dutch Fork area and work downtown. Blink those lights or wave. I'd like to meet you.

Congratulations and welcome! If you're not already a member, please consider joining PCA. The Carolinas Region is one of the best and very active...in fact, it's hard to find a week-end that there's not an activity going on somewhere in the Region.

I'll look for you. I live in Blythewood but find excuses to drive her all around Columbia, I am sure we will run into each other.

Boxter Vs 993 - wow. I enjoyed every minute of my 2001 Boster. A joy to drive the handling was great. But I wanted something that was unique and classic, the Porsche I imagined growing up. Drove a 993 and was I was toast, everything I expected; a little loud, a little rough and a whole lot of fun.

Decided coupe for the classsic roof lines. That rear end is not duplicated anywhere. Even drove some 2009 911's at my local dealer, powerful but just didn't have that edge. Can a Porsche really have Bluetooth and GPS navigation?

I know I have given no information to the real drivers here, more like describing a glass of wine. But I suspect everyone knows what I mean

Oh yea it doesn't hurt that everywhere I stop I am asked about the car or that a guy on I-77 about fell out of his Corvette last week rubber necking my 911. That never happened in the Boxter.

Welcome to the world of 993 people, always funny to see 100+ folks on the forum during mid-week and only 50 on week ends. I grew up in NC and are glad you enjoyed the BRP. I have some nice 18 inch hollow spokes I am salvaging from my 1997 C2, I will waive double shipping charge to that I would normally have to someone in SC!
