one of the cars you mention is LHD and a CatD
the other is also high miles and LHD (and also supiciously cheap)

I don't want a LHD car
The Cat D is RHD and as for LHD they have way, way more value then a RHD in a tanked economy.

Watch this space.

We're taking delivery of a yellow RHD 993C2 tomorrow which is having a full-on 9mRS Comfort conversion, the motivation of the customer is to create a better-than-RS 993 for half the price of a perfect low mileage RHD example (which are definitely now priced in the £100k + bracket).

To the OP: if you are serious about a pretty big buck accurate RS recreation or better, look at Colin's (ninemeister) website. Serious hardware that man turns out!

Outline plan for the suspension is:
RS topmounts
KW Variant 3 or Clubsport spring/damper package
GT2 uprights & steering arms
Bump steer kit
Poly bush wishbones
Poly bush rear links
Stiff axle kit (solid side member mounts)
RS anti-roll bars

Great plan, but what is "poly bush rear links"?? Somebody makes some type of urethane inserts for rear suspension links? New to me.

He he. Anyone would think that I sit on my backside all day doing nothing, as opposed to conceiving, designing & commissioning the manufacture of new parts for our old cars....

as stated, a real RS (RHD obviously) in the UK is 110,000 GBP plus

this would naturally exclude any car that is CatD, reshelled, a recreation, an abused & poor example, a car that's been stolen and then covered in chocolate ice cream etc....

'Fess up... I have 3 or 4 threads here expressing an interest in stiffer bushings out back. I'm looking forward to the offerings.

I have found a few things to help, but nothing addressed all of the flex in the suspension. Less is more, and I want less. Stiffer bushings in all the suspension components is what I'm looking for, hopefully that's what you were referring to.

there are 12 points where rubber can be eliminated or stiffened in a 993 rear suspension

the rubber sidemounts 2x on each side can be replaced w/ solids. This has the additional advantage of improving roll center height, similar to using RS uprights in front.

the 8x inner mounts for the control arms can be replaced w/ monoballs(available from Smart Racing) or rubber. The rubber is available in 2 versions stock or sport(either available from Elephant Racing) A more expensive option is to replace the arms w/ RS versions.

sport rubber w/ solid sides makes for a very nice setup on a dual use car(do the front the same way). Full monoballs w/ solid sides for track only cars.
