Do you ever drive your 993 barefoot? I did today and it's pretty cool...

Ever? Always!!
Not only do I have better throttle feel, but wearing any heel with the Rennline pedal is dangerous the way I have it set up. I had one get caught under the bottom edge once. Not fun at all! The only thing that sucks is that the aluminum pedals are awfully cold in winter. But, better cold feet than slamming into the back of someone because my shoe stuck in the pedal. At the track I wear very thin-soled shoes only because I have to. I find myself driving with my toes at times, just for ever-so-slight throttle modulation. A useless habit, but bred from being at the ragged edge of havoc through the corners (at least it seems like it anyway).

I'm with Adrienne,
In general women's shoes with any sort of heel are hopeless for driving. I always kick them off, put them in the passenger footwell and drive barefoot.
Don't recommend driving in flipflops at all.....got one caught under the accelerator once. Not a good look!
Throttle modulation by movement of just your big toe is a nice feeling!

Burning Brakes
i love to drive without shoes !!!! live in MIAMI !!!
however, barefoot is not that safe i think ... and aluminum pedals can be kind of painfull. Neither flip flops. A lightweight comfortable sport shoes i think is the best ..

Drifting
while we are here...
There's this guy in our area here by the Cal. Delta... ALWAYS barefoot.
rides a Harley, barefoot
restaurants, barefoot
spring, summer, winter, fall
tough feet.
Only thing he wears footwear for is his job. Concrete work. Cement is caustic.
But he doesn't wear socks.

It is like being barefoot, but with a little protection.

Agreed! Even in the dead of winter I kick off my shoes to drive. Flip flops are deadly in the summer and slick-soled high heels don't work well either. When I first got the car, my foot slipped off the clutch due to my shoes and I haven't worn them since!
