Do you ever drive your 993 barefoot? I did today and it's pretty cool...

When I first got my car I forgot it had no cup holders. So I took off my left shoe (brake/clutch foot) and used it as a cup holder for my starbucks drink.

Saks Fifth Ave outlet has Cole Haan, Kenneth Cole and other brands of great driving shoes for $50. I have like 5 pairs in diff colors. Love the feel of the pedals with those.

Last driving shoes I bought:

They are not truly driving shoes, but are light, cool, thin soled. They really worked well on my buddy's Gemballa pedals with raised metal nubs. Named after a Porsche, can't be all bad...

If you take your shoes off while driving... make sure to remove them from the driver's side footwell.

It's easy to remove your shoes and put them behind your feet, infront of the seat. They could roll forward under hard braking and interfere with the pedals.

Don't laugh, I actually saw an episode on German TV about this...but they are pretty serious about their driving over there!

I grew up and went to school on Maui barefoot quite a bit. Kinda lost the thrill of it for me. My feet got pretty tough though. I still occasionally drive barefoot, but only when the flipflops **** me off.

restaurants, barefoot
Now that IS illegal in lots of places. Other places it's just a policy along with wearing shirts which I vastly prefer.

It's shoes for me, preferrably with very thin, light soles. It gets cold down there.
