Default I hate my basket handle

I hate the asthetics of the basket handle/3rd brake light on my cab. But, since it is a cab, I do not have the option of the roof mounted 3rd brake light. What, if anything, can be done about this short of long term therapy (for me, not the car)?

I can't help other than to say I love my basket handle, specifically looked for a car with one when I bought.

I may have felt different with a 'cab though.

Just take it off. Or does California requires that you have a 3rd light on your annual inspection?

Dated look of the basket handle was primary reason I did not purchase a '95 coupe when shopping for a 993 few months ago.
Did not want to mess with covering holes, new wires, repainting, etc.

I remember to see a nice 993 cab with row of small red LEDs drilled into the edge of the spoiler when visiting Europe last year.

The other option would be installing the 964-type cab light.

put a row of LEDs on the Spoiler wall and leave it up during inspections

We have no annual inspections, so that could work, but I like the safety aspect of the HMTBL. (Of course, my 2002 touring has no 3rd light and tiny brake lights, so....)

Personal aesthetics ...to each his own. Lots written on this. Remove it and have the holes filled. FWIW, I love mine and do not find it at all "dated" looking. To me, it is a unique look that identifies it as one of those special 95s.

I wasn't a big fan of the basket handle either. I took mine off and had the holes filled and painted. I went with the updated third brake light since I have a coupe.
