Default Guess my weight....

I weighted my car today. It is a 95 C2 with full tank of gas and driverless.

Car has
- somewhat heavy 18 wheels
- no spares, jack, tool kits, backseat, rear deck shelf, rear seatbelts
- lighweight battery
- strutbrace
- RS door panel
- RS carpet with sound proofing removed
- fiberglass rear deck/spoiler
- RS-like heater tube
- Wevo engine mount

With a FULL tank of gas, it came to a total of 2922 lbs!!!! I am soooo happy the car weight this low.

Very nice. Did you fill your tires with helium?

Get something other than OEM seats and drop another 100+ pounds.

The car is a daily driver with AC. When I installed the RS carpet, I used some sound deadening and full padding. So, it is still very comfortable for a daily driver.

I was thinking of getting seats, but I don't want to go full race fixed back ones. The stock seats are supremely comfortable for me.

if you want to remove more weight on the back side consider going with a muffler delete. I think its another 50 lbs. Don't quote me on the weight, mine was done by the PO.

when your clutch needs replacing a lightweight flywheel and clutch sheds a lot of pounds too.

Without going crazy mine is at 2810~ (I think the tank was 1/4 full at "weigh in")

Mods are as follows: Recaro Pole Positions, Cat delete, Maxflos, Volk TE37's (those are very light),RS LWF, some other RS odds and ends too which I don't think amount to much savings, I also took out the spare, jack, etc. .

Like Jimbo said the stock seats are boat anchors.

With all that being said it was weighed at a trash transfer facility so the accuracy of the scale is probably a bit suspect.

Changing the seats is a good thing to do, but it's nowhere near 100+ pounds. Nor will mufflers save anywhere near 50 pounds, FWIW...

Unfortunately with a 993 there aren't many easy ways to save weight -- just a lot of small and expensive mods that save ten or twenty pounds here and there.
