Springs!
Need some help here.
I purchased a set of H&R street coilovers from a RL member a few months ago. I got them installed but have an issue with height adjustment in the front. I have threaded the coilovers all the way up as far as they will go and the car is still VERY low. I understand the H&R's lower the car quite a bit, but there seems to be a significant difference between front and rear. The rears are down about half-way on the threads of the shock, while the fronts are as far up as I can possibly get them. I'd like to get the front up about another half-inch or so, as it sits rather "raked" in the front right now. I also get some noise from the fronts on bumps, suggesting that they are not long enough to hold the top hats on spring and thus rattle when extended.
I guess I'm looking for spring replacements? The shocks seem very firm and they looked in good shape when I got them. I've double and triple checked the install, and used Jeff's guide to do the initial install with a very capable friend.
Any ideas on what to replace the springs with, or should I bite the bullet and just order some PSS10's?

Another possibility is that you're missing a shim between the stock spring perch and the strut body. It was a big shim that was provided with the kit, at least 1/2 inch. I'm pretty sure I used the one H&R provided and the stock shim as well.

We did use the shims for sure.

Sorry,
I thought about it and the rake was the reverse when I had the springs on backwards. The back was too LOW and front was too HIGH.
What's your fender gap? My fronts were at least 25" from floor to fender, with space on the threads to go higher.

Its about 2 1/2" down I think, and adjusted ALL the way up to the point that I cannot see any remaining threads above the spring perch. The front measures 24 1/2" through the center line of the wheel to the bottom lip of the fender. The rear is right at 25" with much room to play in either direction.

Maybe you can take some pictures of everything under the wheel well and someone may notice something we're thinking of.

The rear should have a total range of adjustment of about 2" or so, as I recall and you say that you're in the middle. I'm not clear on why you don't think you have any room for adjusting height in either direction.
Are these the H&R coilover set, or is this H&R springs over Bilstein HD's?

I Have H&R coilovers in mine and am running at RS ride height. I have plenty of movement and a good range of ride height adjustment each way. Something must be wrong. Photo's might be a good idea.
Hope it works out soon

I'm following this thread closely, as I will be installing the H&R "street" coilovers on mine sometime in the next couple of weeks. Pictures would really help me here.
