In case you may have missed this, this Audi A8 had all 4 of it's wheels stolen in Washington DC and left on cinder blocks. Don't they have wheel locks on at least one of those wheels? The car was then towed as is, causing $20k in damage. Ouch... If I get my wheels stolen, I will be more proactive in getting something done about it FAST if it happens in DC...

The tow truck driver should get castrated for that barbaric behavior. Seriously.

But it's not an A8......

That is so wrong. I see why handguns are not legal in DC. That was an S4...I had one that looked exactly the same (minus the cinder blocks).

Most tow truck drivers have no respect, they're all the same.

Now the city will hafta cough up $10K or more to fix their stupidity. Anyone wonder why cities are bankrupt? This is why.

Gotta love the brain power with the city parking enforcement people and tow drivers. I doubt whether the person writing the ticket or the tow driver cared one bit about the damage they were causing.

I hope the owner gets appropriate and generous remedies.

It is just another case of the 'dumbing' of the world population that does not seem to be letting up.
We are doomed by the lowest comon denominator breeding more of the same.

I'm certainly not condoning what the tow truck driver or the city did as they certainly could have handled it better. But I believe the problem was that the car was parked on the side of the road on cinder blocks and the owner left it there to wait for new wheels/tires. The city deemed it unsafe. If I lived there and had kids playing in the street, I would be concerned about it falling over and hurting someone.

How many of you would leave your 993 sitting on the side of the road for any extended period of time?

It was pretty dumb to leave the car sitting on cinder blocks for 5 days though. It still doesn't justify the City's towers stupidity!

This happened to me in my old neighborhood (Miami, FL) back in the 1980s. In front of my house (overnight). Found my car on cement blocks! I immediately got new rims on my then fairly new Grand Prix GT with a set of wheel locks plus I added a car alarm!

When you live in a crime ridden area you have to protect yourself (Me and my Dad had matching Smith & Wesson 38 cal. hand guns (in the trunk)
