Anyone paint 993 Targa wheels?
I looked thru the 993 wheels thread- some great wheels in there. I also discovered y'all don't seem to favor the Targa wheels. I have them on my 964 and like them a lot, but they need to be refinished. Not an easy task, apparently, from talking with Wheel Enhancement. So I'm wondering if anyone has ever refinished them, and if so did you paint any other color than silver?
Would like to see the Targa wheels in black, if anyone's done it.
TIA

those do look tight! Is the lip painted or polished? and did you just mask and spray the black, or did you take them apart? thanks for the close-up. Would love to see the full profile, when you have a chance.

so it sounds like the lip was masked off anyway, and left as stock Zermat Silver paint. Mine are a bit rough, so I'd probably touch them up. When did they do the wheels? Maybe I could call and ask his process....

yeah, but the bolt heads themselves need some attention too. I don't really plan to take the wheels apart. I would like to keep the head intact and not 100% filled by spray. The thought of taking each bolt out and replacing it with a new one is daunting to say the least. I can't afford to have the wheel torqued/warped because I put it back together wrong.

A small detail to some perhaps, but those center caps really make a difference. The black and silver caps above look great but many black painted wheels I've seen have the original silver/handpainted color caps and it spoils the entire look imo. If doing this I would want to make sure I did the job right like those above - they look just great!

i just talked to Dave at WE- they still have no way to source the hardware to put the wheel back together, so they don't refinish them. Paint 'em as they sit is the only option.
