So sorry Simon, ^^ even Porsche's new CEO only got a wheel:

Well, Dayum. I haven't read any articles yet, has anybody witnessed the top being put up? I'm a-waitin'

The shot with the side windows up looks to be a sure sign that the top will be similar, but slightly re-contoured from the test mule photo posted earlier. The series of compound curves at the top edge of the glass appear to be a more beautiful execution than the (excuse my French) 'Organic Taurus' like oval shape of the earlier attempt...

Guess you didn't find any new top up pix or vid, either.

Have to wait 'til they ship?

Porsche had a HELL of a time with the '89 top and held the car back for months.
I'm sure the reason they are not showing a top on, is because they don't have one that works.
They 'allude' to it, but come just short of showing it .... Same as 1989.
No one got to see a top work until that car was shipped to the dealers ...

Yes, sorry for the redux, just trying to further the discussion here and get the rest of my day accomplished. Thanks for the beautiful new shot of the car with top up. I'll put it in my pile and let you share it here when your "ready", I wouldn't presume to pre-empt you, the ImageMeister.

It appears that Porsche is indeed "Ready for Primetime" this time around. If anything can be said about Porsche, they definitely learn from their mistakes, and obviously are listening to their customers. Can't wait to see it in person, hopefully in L.A.

You have my empathy ...I'm trying to sleep & work, which I failed at last weekend .
At least the weather's perfect (again), & I'm literally missing out on a football game & 3 car show invitations.

Thanks, but I have no magic web skills, & could learn from others who web-surf more efficiently.
For me, finding new photos to share takes A LOT of time. I'd almost always rather see what cool stuff others find first.

It's like the opposite of 'misery loves company' -- sharing fun instead.
Great way to show mutual enthusiasm, too; otherwise time input seems lop-sided.

Yes, so much harder to give and yet so much more satisfying and civilized than the alternatives.

I agree with the other's comments, the final top design is very attractive. Kudo's to Porsche for taking the time to get it right. I am now, officially smitten.

Jim-- Been thinking about the fun your Baltic Blue baby & you must be having with the continuously amazing convertible weather.

Regarding the seats you asked me to keep an eye out for, curious if you need more contact info for the RLer I mentioned. IIRC, about all I did was post a pic with his screen name. Just yelp if I can help.

Let us know if you're making it to any car shows today. Think I've heard of ~three in the Boulder/ Golden/ Denver area, & a couple further south. Hope RLers are enjoying their 993s today!

Apologies for the OT, I've been waiting for an excuse to post these short CO 993 videos I found ...thanks for the opportunity, Jim!
