Default Dim Interior Lights

My cabin interior lights are just to dark. Is anyone using higher wattage bulbs?

Thanks,

Ken

Did you try turning the **** on dash to full brite level. It is one of the two ***** that stick out by your gages located by the (speedo/clock and fuel/temp) one is for wipers delay and the other is for dash lighting dimmer.

Thanks bart1 for that link, because on that site is another link that allows you to print a single page showing all of the bulbs needed for any given car. It sure looks like you could use LEDs for the interior dome lights...or behind the guages. 993Porsche, please post your reaction if you do it. Thanks.

I did the LED lights and they have a very direct light. The gauge lights up brighter in some places than other. I think I'm going to switch back to the stock sockets and find brighter bulbs.

Be careful upping the wattage on otherwise stock bulbs as the extra heat they generate can cause problems. Make sure the bulbs you're replacing aren't surrounded by plastic or anything that could suffer from the extra heat. Of course this isn't an issue with LEDs.
