Got it...have had to do something similar with the jack handle as well. Nice work so far!

Cheers,

Mike

Here's a few motor item pics... Just posted a few unique ones since there's there's lots of them out there.
- RSR p/c's...
- 993 cam housing full of solid rockers...
- RSR alternator belt. The tensioner is a fabricated one (obvioulsy) that I got with motor. Showed some cracks so I had it reinforced. I got a good chunk of the RSR tensioners parts with car, but figured I may have hard time getting balance of parts so used fabed one. Belt is 6 rib type, and top pulley is actually a supercharger hub/pulley assy. I had pulley mfgr make hub with hole that fit alt shaft. You take pulley off hub by removing the 5 screws. This is way I'll change belt since idler pulley doesn't back off quite enough to get belt off.
- RSR Headers. I had never seen multiple piece headers before these.

Why no ITB? Also what power you running and how do you find the clutch?

Joe

Congrats. That car looks awesome. My wife will be pissed because she was thinking about that color for the SpecBoxster. Look forward to seeing it in person. Are you going to bring it out anytime soon?

BTW, it looks like your missing a steering wheel

Plan is to run nasa gts4 so ITB's were not really necessary now. ...would make too much HP, plus could use the $4-5k on something else.

Car was at MidO last weekend with nasa to run in motor and so I can figure out how to drive again. Bummer is one of the left cylinders is getting blow by (exh out case vent) and smoke'n on decel from high rpm, so i really need to get motor back out to see what's up with that. That is after I take a little "car vacation" -- after 2.5 years of working on this at least some time every weekend (and during the week for the last year) it's time for a break.

Sounds bad (at least that's what people told me). Don't have any video or sound.

Clutch, well I came by a good deal on 5.5" tilton three plate and that's what's on car now (7 1/4" one will be for sale soon). Clutch is an off/switch, pedal movement is maybe 4", not really hard to press, and you can shift very fast. Frankly the tranny is what I was most looking forward too after racing my 930.

Color, I think i've spoiled 3 people's color plans since I rolled car out of trailer Thurs eve at MidO. ...I picked it because there are no other cars around here that color; guess others were thinking the same way. Ironically, a new Audi S5 pulled into paddock almost exactly the same color (hmmmm) on Sat.

Few more pics of car with body and some I took when I was aligning it...

Joe, cool, I'm glad you are finally nearing completion of the car. I'll just add that there have been a number of issues with the RSR belt system tensioner breaking, so you'll want to watch that. I like the SRP dual pully setup and the Clewett "RSR" style serpintine belt system looks interesting. I can't wait to come to Mid-Ohio next year to compete against you...

JamesE -- Weight dry is ~2350 lbs. Don't have exact as I didn't have body on when corner balanced but know about what each body part weighs and what oil and gas weighs.

Geoffrey -- You lap times at midO are pretty smoke'n. ...will take me a while to get down there. Yea, I've read about the RSR belt tens issues in rsr manual / tech notices. Mine is a machined aluminum piece, but still needs watching.
