Default Chirping rear tires on shifts?

I just watched a video about this muffler.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/PORSC...1%7C240%3A1318

Direct video link:
http://i118.photobucket.com/albums/o...e993Racing.flv

Half way through the video you see this 993 taking off from a stop and chirping the rear tires as he shifts from 1st to 2nd, and then again from 2nd to 3rd.

I had gotten the ocassional tire chirping on cold tires, cold days while shifting from 1st to 2nd, but not from 2nd to 3rd as the car in this video.

I'm just curious what your experiences have been. I either have a dog or that car has more power tham normal? Or just crappy tires?

Without even clicking on the link, I have a feeling that it shows one of the notorious Flabspeed videos.......

LOL...close.... however, their HP claims are less "conservative" than Fabspeed's at 34hp.

I don't believe that you can get either 34hp nor I'm expecting it, nor I care for the mufflers.

My real question is, after seeing this video, if your 993 "chirps" its rear tires when you shift from 1st to 2nd and then 2nd to 3rd like the 993 on the video?

Thanks! I agree with you.

I was just surprised to see that on the video.

+1

I "could" probably chirp the tires but why..... To chirp the tires just "power shift" IE: dont lift the gas and slam it as hard as you can from 1-2 without lifting. Its great for drag racing but gets expensive pretty quick. Even on the track I give just a tiny little pause in nuetral to reduce wear on the syncros.

Oh... and its also hard on shift forks too, the G50 does not have stops, so you are banging on the fork if you overshoot the gear.

Agreed. I won't even try it. I know better than that.

My point is that I don't think my car can chirp its rear tires from 2nd to 3rd gear even if I tried it.

They could get a nice TIG for the $3,000 they want for those mufflers. But I suppose they would have to learn how to use it.

agreed... I think the video has had a little editing. It sounds exactly like the 1-2 chirp.
My first thought when I saw it was "umm, not likely"

For the record we probably could get a squeak in a 2-3 shift but it would involve a more "agressive" shift than the one on the video.
Who knows, maybe the motor in the video has had some work.

Actually, it does have the extra 34hp.. lol

EDIT: OK, mystery solved Just listened again, they difinitely took the audio from the first shift.
