Ok, ok, so I know I am a real geek, but I thought some folks here might enjoy this, especially since it seems a lot of fellow RL'ers also have iPhones...





Since I was already having fun with it, I wanted to take it just one step further...





In case anyone is curious, for the second pic, all I did was rename one of my songs in iTunes and start it playing on the iPhone. The text is really just a song title. Not too difficult at all. The hardest part was rushing to do it all before the time hit 9:12PM.

How do you get a screenshot on the iPhone?

Ok ... Porsche wallpaper on iPhone ... no big deal.

Changing the name of a song to "Porsche: There is no substitute" ... getting there.

Rushing to get it done so the time reads 9:11 ... now THAT's a geek (although you could always set your clock back a few minutes ....).

IIRC you press the power button on the top of your phone and while holding it down briefly press the home button. Then release the power button. The screen will flash white and you find your screenshot in the camera roll.

What Nuff said was correct. There are actually two ways to do it...

The iPhone 2.0 software update, released in July, added the ability to take a screenshot by quickly pressing the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together. The iPhone screen will flash momentarily and the screenshot pic will be added to your iPhone's camera roll in the Photos app. For more information, see:

The second way is to download the free iPhone SDK Developer Tools (http://developer.apple.com/) and use the Organizer window in the Xcode development app to capture an image of your iPhone screen. I am not a developer, but I had fun playing around with this.
