Help: will THIS iPod adapter work in HK Traffic Pro?
Sure looks awfully like the aux RCA adapter for the traffic pro....but will it work in an HK Traffic Pro?
http://www.discountcarstereo.com/detail.aspx?ID=993
If anyone knows of a similar adapter that will work for HK traffic Pro, please let me know too....thanks!

Hello, I do not know what you mean by HK, but I have the 7820 traffic pro, and the blue plug in the picture
is the right plug for the system, best regards
ps: just downloaded the Harman Kardon installation guide,,,,its the exact same as the becker
this is the cable you need,
to be inserted in socket C3
While installing the radio, you should see a green cable coming from the right side in the dash
if your system was not tampered with,
connect this green cable (coming from the fuse box) to the unit.
It plugs right in adjacent to the gps antenna, on the chassis. this is a ground cable for noise isolation.

HK is Harman Kardon....
I got the Traffic Pro installed already, so I am OK with installation, just looking to add iPod connectivity and charging.
There was a green cable ground to the cage for the CR210 that I unplugged and left alone. When I get the ipod cable I will look for the place to plug that into the traffic Pro. Thanks!

Yes I rectified to Harman Kardon,
I had a hunch the green cable was not connected. there is a male connection right next to the gps antenna connection on the chassis, just plug the green cable there, fits perfect. This way you won't hear hisses in AUX mode. regards

That is the connector I installed. I have an HK unit with a Porsche nameplate.
I installed my Ipod under the emergency brake handle for easier access than the glove box.
Works very well.

That's the one, get the Becker (Porsche) one. However, you should have put it in before the stereo install. You got to get power to the cable, & place the wires. It's a tight fit & takes some finesse.
After the install you got to activate the Aux input.

The seller also included an "aux cable" but when it arrived I didn't think it was the one I had in mind.
I can still push the unit out so I will play with the traffic Pro while the cable is on its way.

How about THIS ONE:
http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...=detailed_info
Will it do the same job, with a long cable and at 1/2 the price??

Not sure, but for $20, it might be worth trying.

How do you folks route your GPS antenna? I read about around the front dash, but it seems you would have a wire coming out underneath and then going up and over the front of the dash, not neat looking....or do you use extension cord and wire it to the back?

Three Wheelin'
I put mine in the front under the center of the dash against the windshield. You'll need to trim the underside of the defroster vent slightly but it's easy to remove (just undo the exposed screws) and a simple penknife will trim it (hint: the defroster trim cuts easier if it's warm). I ran the wire under the dash top then around the far right of the dash and behind to the TP. There's only a short 2-3" section that is exposed right at the far right of the dash but I was able to hide it in the weatherstrip so you can't see it at all and it's well protected. The location in the front gets a great signal too - I've had no problems at all.
