Default Cleaned up the 95 C4

Did a couple of long PCA & Audi Club tours, she had many, many dead bugs, stuck under the wipers, in the hood vent, just about every where else. It was so bad, some of them streaked up the hood & front end.

It was time to wash her up, then after she needed a clay, then what the hell, a light polish, & wax. Took me about 6 hours.

Yea, I went a bit over board, the process......

Wash with Adams car wash & foam gun
Used 1Z's bug remover on the front end
Clay
dry

Menzerna 85rd on a green pad Metabo rotary 1200rpms
1Z glass polish on the windshield, Metabo, yellow pad, 2000 rpms
1Z metallic on a white pad with the PC SP 6
1Z glantz on a black pad with the PC SP 3
1Z new gel V&R on the trim & tires

Leather Masters full 3 step on the leather, it's super soft, & smooth
1Z gel on the vinyl
Vac

Griot's oil & grease eater on the engine
Amazing Roll Off after the Griots
1Z gel for the plastic

Here are the pics, sorry, there not the greatest, I waited to late in the day to take them.

Your car looks great.

Couple of questions. I use Griots products as well but haven't used their engine cleaning products. Are they simply spray on and rinse and does one have to protect any electrical areas in the engine bay. Cleaning the engine has always has me fearful that I could do some electrical damage so I always clean it by hand which is a PIA.

Also, your leather (what I can see in the pic's) looks really good. Have you been using the Leather Master products for a long time or just recently.

Once again, beautiful car.

I don't use the "engine cleaner" just the microbe degreaser, then Amazing Roll Off. Don't worry to much about water, you know when it rains, it gets wet back there, even more so when the wing is up. I don't block anything off, or worry about getting things wet. I spray, let it set, then use various brushes, & towels. Then rinse & repeat. It takes a few times to get it nice, then I use a towel, to dry it all off. I've been doing this for years with many different cars, the only real porblem was on my BMW 525, the water would get down into the spark plug holes, & short out the coil packs, so no spark. But after the first time, I knew to not go heavy on the water there. Also, don't wash a hot engine!

I've only had the car since February this year. Haven't got a clue what was used on it, but it's still nice. Usually the full Leather Masters treatment gets done 2x a year. My car has a little over 80kmi on it.

Thanks Harlan, she needed it. Just did over 450mi last Friday around Mt St Helens, down to the Gorge, & back up home. Not sure what I'll bring, the C4S also needs a bath, if it's raining, the C4 will be there for sure. It more depends on if I have time to wash it tomorrow morning.

I get almost everything from our forum sponcer, http://www.detailersdomain.com/ we get a discount also. The leather takes about 2 hours from start to finish, you got to make sure it's dry before you move on, & do at least 2 applications of the leather vital.

They are in great shape but have some wear. The cleaning process makes they look like new.
