Becker NJ has a B-stock (out of box/no documentation) Harmon Kardon TrafficPro at $599, which sounded very retail priced IMHO. I took a pass at the offer given the radios decade old data file maps.
I was under the impression that the V2 maps are 2004, I bet they come with the V1 maps.

So far, it's been great, only brand new places don't show up, it really hasn't been much of a problem.

I would encourage anyone looking at the CDR-220 that does not plan on using the CD player in the radio head to look at the CR-220s. If you plan on using only the radio and having an iPod hooked up to it, go for the CR-220. You can pick them up all day on eBay for $35 or so. Then with the $100 face plate conversion (a must) you are only into the radio part for $135 (+). The iPod hook up is easy and the parts are easy to order from Becker and outside vendors.

As far as the code goes, if you bought it on eBay it is buyer beware. The Porsche dealer can get it for you free of charge if you ask. The online manuals are complete.

If you plan on a CDR-220, I would go with Becker. For just shy of $400 you know what you’re getting and it is a complete package.

Good luck….
