Default Trans tray.

Yesterday I was installing my coil overs and installed Chris' A arm bushings and noticed I'm missing my trans tray. I was wondering if you guys knew of any place I could pick a used/cheap tray.

Start a thread telling everyone the benefit of not having a transmission tray and take your pick.

Bump.

I haven't had any luck sourcing one. I may just make one out of aluminum if I can get a template.

You are more than welcome to come by and trace mine on cardboard, take dimensions, etc. My junker is on stands at the moment and will be for a while.

I've called around to several of the P-car junk yards and they either don't have them or they want 500 bucks for them.

Andreas, I may take you up on your offer.

Briefscape, I have removed my engine tray, but I lost my trans tray on an off road excursion at the track. I ran this season without the trans tray and according to my data my top speed on the back straight at VIR is down- aprox 3-4mph. I know that doesn't seem like a lot, but I removed some weight so I would have thought it would have gone up.

Do most of you track rats have your trans tray still on your car?

Thanks, Patrick
