Default Sumitomo HTR ZIII, Tire Pressure?

Just had a set of 18" HTR Z 3's installed, what tire pressure should I run? I'm thinking 36psi front and back, too high too low?

36 in back is too low. Factory spec calls for 36 front and 43 in the rear. I was skeptical that 43 in the rear and ended up playing tire pressures for weeks....and eventually "figured" out that 43-44 was best. Factory know best.

Run the pressure on the door jams, 36f 44 rear. Works for me, even at the Auto-X

What would you guys run on the same tires if they are 19"s? I am really happy so far with them but have only done about 500 miles so far.

Cheers,

Mike

For the money, I would run them on everything, even 19's. If I had $1800 to spend on nice 19in rubber, I might get the PS2's, & plan on replacing the rears in a year for another $600. Or just get the Sumi's for $800 & enjoy.

Oh, I just got a set of Sumi's on my RUF 19's and was asking what people are running for air pressure.....I am like you, dropped $800 for a brand new set of rubber, and they have been great.

Cheers,

Mike

36 rears & 34 fronts for me after trying many different combinations. 44 in the rears is way too high IMHO. (cold psi's)

+1. I can't imagine putting in 44 in the rear. With 36-37 in the rear and my rear tires still wear much faster in the center(for Perelli Zero). In the old days most of us agreed that manufacturer's recommendation was way too high.

Thanks for the input guys but I'm a bit confused. Are some of you saying I should consider running 44psi in the rear for a 18” or 19” tire?

Ruf recommends 2.1/2.3 front and 2.5/2.7 rear, in English 31/33 front and 36/39 rear or less. I have never seen anyone get even tire wear in the rear with over 40 psi.
