Default Steve - how is your suspension working out?

Steve - Its been some time since you put in your suspension - how did it work out for you. Do you find yourself scraping the car a lot. Is is now set up OK, or do you wish you'd gone for monroes etc?

Boston911fan - are you still happy with your install. Whats the feedback after having it for a while?

Cheers

Phil

Phil: I love my car. It's a new car. I don't look at it anymore as it being the car I originally bought. I simply view it as a newly purchased 993 with a lowered suspension and think of it that alternative way. I don't scrape going into the garage anymore as I go in on an angle, always. When I'm forced to back up on a non-angle, like when it was towed a few weeks ago for what we thought was a dead battery (it must have been an immobilizer issue as it started right up at the indie) it did scrape that day as he backed it out straight. Arghhh.

Then there was the lovely moment today when I left my gym to find the rear bumper scraped with white paint on the corner from another fu*king car. Double arghhh. Sometimes, I wonder whether it's worth driving this thing when I have to park it in really populated, tight parking areas. Of course the other drive didn't leave a note.

Oh well, that's life in the big city.

Hi Steve - Well, sorry to hear someone bumped you. Car parks are the worst for that.

On the other hand, good to hear that your suspension worked out OK. Is the M030 not too harsh a ride for you? I also am not likely to track my car. Though it does see some spirited driving, so I would be interested in your feeedback.

Thanks

Phil

Hi

Here in the UK the M030 is just too harsh for most inner city roads IMHO. The standard springs or MO33 are the way to go. Again IMHO.

Parking dings are so annoying. I get around that issue by only buying cars that already have parking dings, and that way when I collect another one it is not the end of the world.

All the best

Berni

I would second the opinion others have said and NOT get M030 but M033 instead. Whatever is least harsh is better for street use. Mine's all street use and it's harsh, but I'm "stuck" with it so I just enjoy it for what it is!

It's not the M030 springs that result in what you perceive as a harsh ride. It's the Bilstein HDs which have lots of compression dampening.
