Shocks are shot at 80K mi. Is the Bilstein HD/M030's still the best bet for...

Sweet - you just saved me $135
I did a search and found these. Do I really need these? Ouch...
Weltmeister® ERP Camber Plates
$479.98 - $599.98
Weltmeister® ERP Camber Plates 964/993
"Precision handling comes from putting as much tire to the road as possible and requires a range of camber unavailable from stock suspension mounts. Built to exacting standards and made from billeted aluminum, ERP/Weltmeisters solid caster plates incorporate spherical bearings eliminating the vague feedback associated with rubber mounted units. The ERP/Weltmeister components not only make wheel alignment easier, but their high degree of camber can be adjusted for anything from hard street use to aggressive competition driving."

Whoops, guess I got carried away there.
I'm back on track now and am merely awaiting the merchandise.
Get some sleep folks... time for me to get back to something much more important, the Olympics!

You may not need a strut brace one but do you WANT one? I figured for another $135, what the hell.
Im on an LCD and Plasma frenzy right now. Went through the same things with my car--Should I do it, what is better, ect......Now its 1080p/720p-Panasonic, Samsung, Sharp--anti glare screen, shinny bezel (I love t Samsung displays but HATE the shinny bezel and reflective screen) I sell lcds, plasmas, HD video conferencing and Telepresence solutions and I dont know what the heck to get and bounce back and forth. I own 3 LCDs and a plasma now and getting ready to add to more to the home. Decisions, decisions, decisions. And do I really need 2 more??

No problem on that...
I'm biting my chops waiting for 830am West Coast time to hit so I can start calling the 2 vendors that I need to contact to buy this stuff. Feeling a little guilty as on CNN this morning they're saying the economy is going to pot and it's all doom and gloom. The Limited Too stores, 600 of them are revamping their stores and converting to "Justice" stores, where the clothes are 25% less because people can't afford to spend money. Then on the other end, I'm buying all this stuff (kind of needed though) for the 993, and getting some furniture (kind of needed too - we moved to a newer house last year and still haven't furnished much of it yet). It's always angst producing but when looking back on times like this, you're usually glad you spent the buck.
It's 830am PST, time to get on the horn. Is a Front Protection Bar crucial for this combo?
Also just PM'd Chris about those bushings.

I have the M033's with Hd's, I do feel the shocks are overdampened, revalving them would be ideal.

Do a search on the FPB, too. I bought one from Autromotion, but still haven't installed it. Well, the car is in the body shop now, but I had pretty much decided to send it back.

These might work for you.... can't beat the price (yes, they are mine that I'm selling), and I'm somewhat local (try them out, it's worth the $$$ just to replace your damaged shocks). These were set up by the previous owner who wanted exactly what you stated, namely a lowered ride that was still comfortable as a daily driver even on rough roads.

Thx Ninjabones but I already ordered the M030's and the Bilstein HD's new.
And about Gert's protection bar... hmmm... do I really need that? Life's question for the day.
Cheers,
