Default Durametric Diagnostic tool group buy?

How much interest is there here for a group buy of the Durametric Diagnostic tool?
I e-mailed their sales department earlier this evening to see if there was any interest on their end.

Check out this Porsche diagnostic software:

www.autoenginuity.com

I've used both the Durametric & the Autoenginuity software for Porsches and the latter
is more powerful and less expensive.

Loren, does this have features that are viewed as valuable that the Durametric doesnt offer?

A quick scan of the respective web sites for specific 993 attributes indicates that the Autoenginuity is even more restricted than the Durametric regards ability to communicate with systems other than the DME: airbag only for the former, while the latter adds ABS and HVAC along with the airbag. Pricing was not clear.
Did I miss something critical?

The lateset version of the Durametric is supposed to be able to do real time readouts as well.

I would be interested

I have been logging data with my Durametric via laptop. I find it interesting to tap into the data stream and have a peak at what is really going on.

Next is to bring AFR on board with a view to log a few other parameters.

Was it ever established that any of these tools can access the ECU on an OBD-I car with an immobilizer?

"does this have features that are viewed as valuable that the Durametric doesnt offer?"

Give them a call. They're very receptive to inquires, product usage, and future product updates.
Their generic ODBII app which is included with the specific vehicle app is great
and has been mentioned by Rennlisters.

"Was it ever established that any of these tools can access the ECU on an OBD-I car with an immobilizer?"

They're only for OBDII interfaces.

It's the same $250, plus a extra $99 for the enhanced Porsche part.

Durametric works on pre 95 cars (for $250) & is already Porsche specific.

I would like a reader that works on more than just the pcar. Durametric seems to say that it is only for the pcar. Is that true?

Thanks,
Pete
