Default Will these tires fit?
I've read a bunch of postings, searched the net, and I find myself getting more and more confused....

Will these tire sizes fit my narrow body 993?

Front: 225/45-17 (stock size: 205/50-17)
Rear: 255/40-17 (same as stock size)

Any good resources for all the possible tire sizes/offsets?
I find most just list the usual stock sizes.

Sure, but the 225s really want 7.5-8" wide wheels. They will fit on the stock 7" wheel--just be a bit pinched is all.

They will fit. I ran the same setup last year on the track and they were fine. A little more roll, but that was it.

They are on my 7 & 9 Cup II's as we speak. No negative issues.

isn't 225 & 255 stock size? I could swear, that is what I just put on my C4.

205/50 is the stock size but many people experience understeer with that setup. That's why we move to 225/45.
