I did the exact same thing. I actually went to their showroom while visiting my relatives in Houston for New Years this year. I never got a weird vibe from Robert Neal or his salesman. I got to sit in the cars that were in the showroom--LOTS of eye candy! They had two or three '89 Speedsters there! However, when it finally came time to buying a 911, it was frustrating dealing with them because so many of the 993s that were on their website were "sold." How hard is it to update a website--clearly a bait and switch thing. Thanks to all of you guys on the Rennlist that steered me AWAY from Victory!

Wow I can't believe the crap VMC has done. I spoke with them on the phone and got a response to my questions quickly when they were trying to sell me one of their cars sight unseen, but when I emailed them about the finer points of inspecting the car and such I got no response. It all looks nice on the outside but that seems to be about it.....

Oh and I forgot to mention the whole buzzing into the building thing. Weird.

It is a very, very, very bad neighborhood there. The buzzing is a good idea. I have a good Houston PPI guy if anyone wants some kryptonite for a suspicious car

Did any of the seat dye come off on your pants?

I though I read somewhere that that's the "secret" to their consistently pristine interiors. Like women with too much botox. Same expression...all the time!

Surprisingly, no. That's not a "secret." Seems like the guy who got rid of his Victory car for a 997 had seat dye problems.

Yes, I had seat dye problems. The seats and hadbrake lever had been spray painted! You couldn't see it on the photos, but when I got the car it was so rediculously obvious. By the time I traded the car, 400 miles or so of seat time, it was all cracking off and showing the "truth" under the paint. There was overspray on the plastic that surrounded the handbrake.

eclou~ your red 997 is very hot! who makes the body kit? Also, what power have you added. I just had the APR chip put in on the 6 hour demo mode... holy $&#!!, it's a whole new animal (beast really). I can now understand why they give it to you to try out, there really is no going back!

That is disgusting! I am truly sorry that you had to go thru that.
